This July, join us to celebrate the revival of wool and natural fibre in South Africa, set in the heart of the Karoo and the charming town of Middelburg in the Eastern Cape.
Returning for its fifth year, from Friday 3 July to Saturday 4 July 2026, the working sheep farm Dwarsvlei will once again come alive with the vibrant energy of the Karoo Winter Wool Festival.
What to expect in 2026
The 2026 Karoo Winter Wool Festival promises to be the most dynamic yet, with:
- A choc-a-bloc vendor line-up, featuring more exhibitors than ever before
- A significantly expanded workshop programme offering hands-on creative experiences
- Wool World Presents – Karoo Kraal, a unique wool and natural fibre design, art and fashion exhibition beautifully curated by VIVIERS Studio and Hoven
- An engaging speaker programme that runs on both Friday and Saturday
- The high-energy WolJol celebration, headlined by Dodo Nyoka and Rooksein
Together, these elements create a festival that blends agriculture, design, lifestyle, learning
and entertainment in a truly Karoo setting.
