Africa Textile Talks recognises this moment in time as both a crisis and an opening. As climate pressures intensify, cheap new imports and second-hand clothing flood markets and local industries aim to regain value, Africa Textile Talks asks what it would take to revisit production practices that repair communities and nature. The focus is on how to build capacity and co-create thriving textile systems that serve people, culture and nature.
