SinCHUI is a Cape Town-based slow design streetwear brand founded by Robyn Agulhas. The brand creates garments that are size-inclusive and gender-neutral, through limited runs and on a made-to-order basis. SinCHUI addresses the issue of waste in fashion through innovative pattern making and the reuse of off-cuts.
Resources and materials
- Sources end-of-roll and surplus fabric from local shops
- Fabric off-cuts are collected and used to create avant-garde or one-off garments
Making and manufacturing
- Samples are made by founder Robyn
- Main production is outsourced to seamstresses, who are former factory workers who now run independent micro-enterprises
Product and design
- Garments range from size XS to XXL
- Quality fabrics and expert construction ensure garments are long-lasting
- All waste material is kept and reused
